What's Included

What Goes Into a Bathroom That Lasts.

The tile is what you see. The waterproofing, ventilation and plumbing behind it decide whether it still looks good in 20 years.

Design & Material Selection

Layout planning, fixture specs and tile, stone and vanity selections, so you approve the complete look before demolition starts.

Waterproofing Done Right

Full shower waterproofing membranes, properly sloped pans and flood-tested drains — the hidden layer behind most failed bathrooms.

Plumbing & Fixture Upgrades

Relocated drains and supply lines, pressure-balanced or thermostatic valves, and replacement of aging galvanized or cast-iron pipe where needed.

Ventilation & Electrical

Properly ducted exhaust fans, GFCI protection, layered dimmable lighting and optional heated floors.

Accessibility & Aging in Place

Curbless showers, blocking for grab bars, wider doorways and comfort-height fixtures that look custom, not clinical.

Permits & Inspections

We pull building, plumbing and electrical permits whenever walls, drains or circuits change, and schedule every inspection.

BATHROOM REMODELING FAQS

The Questions We Hear Most.

In 2026, most Bay Area bathroom remodels cost $35,000–$60,000 for a same-layout refresh, $60,000–$100,000 for a full remodel with plumbing changes, and $100,000–$175,000 or more for a luxury primary bathroom.

Construction typically takes 4–6 weeks for a refresh and 6–10 weeks for a full remodel. Allow another 2–6 weeks beforehand for design, material lead times and permits.

You need permits when you move or add plumbing, change electrical circuits or alter walls. Purely cosmetic work, like replacing a vanity or retiling in place, often doesn't need one. We pull permits whenever they're required, which protects your insurance and resale.

Not the one being remodeled — it's out of service from demolition until fixtures are installed. If it's your only bathroom, we sequence the work to keep that window as short as possible.

For most homeowners, yes. A curbless shower makes the room feel larger, is easier to clean and supports aging in place. It requires recessing or sloping the floor, which we plan during design.

Hidden water damage, old galvanized or cast-iron pipes and rotted subfloors are the most common causes. We inspect before pricing and include clear allowances so surprises don't derail the project.

If you rarely use the tub, a walk-in shower usually makes a bathroom feel larger and easier to use. If it's the only tub in the home and you have young children, keeping a tub somewhere in the house helps with resale.

We install a continuous waterproofing membrane, slope the shower floor properly to the drain and flood-test the pan before any tile is set.
